CARSON CITY — Three-term Republican Assemblyman Randy Kirner of Reno says he won’t run for re-election.
Kirner, who came into office when the state was in the midst the recession, said he was proud to support Gov. Brian Sandoval’s education package.
He said he was disappointed with his efforts to reform the Public Employees Retirement System of Nevada. He had sought to include new members on the governing board and change the benefits system.
Lisa Krasner, who was defeated by Kirner by 11 votes in the last election, has announced she will run for the Assembly District 26 Republican seat.
