Fringe candidate makes up lies!

By Steve Donahue (Campaign Manager – Krasner for Nevada).

Recently Nevada Assembly District 26 voters received a campaign promotional postcard in their mailbox from a two-time losing AD 26 “fringe candidate” who is vying for this seat for a third time in the 2014 Republican Primary Race.

In this fringe candidate’s promotional card, instead of pointing-out to voters the pathetic voting record of the incumbent Assemblyman, Randy Kirner, the fringe candidate falsely attacked Lisa Krasner, because she served as an Nonpaid lobbyist  for the Hunsberger Elementary School PTA.

Like many concerned parents, Mrs. Krasner and her husband, Charles Krasner, M.D., have two school-age sons who attend public school, and want to stay on top of their children’s educational progress.  That’s why Lisa Krasner has served on the PTA.

The fringe candidates’ assertion that Lisa Krasner’s membership on the Hunsberger PTA or the NVPTA Board indicates that Mrs. Krasner supported all of the policies of those organizations is preposterous.  The AD 26 fringe candidate offers voters only his sheer speculation without any facts or corporate minutes to support his insidious allegations.

The truth is Lisa Krasner has publicly opposed and worked diligently to defeat both AB 46, and the Common Core curriculum’s violation of children’s privacy rights.  Please see Lisa Krasner’s Editorial articles in the Reno Gazette Journal (Against AB 46), and in The Las Vegas News and Views, (Against Common Core).

As anyone who has ever served on a PTA or other public board can tell you, there are a number of voting members on any board, and each board member is entitled to their own opinion and their own vote on every matter that comes before the board.  Because a member is out-voted by the majority of such board’s members, doesn’t mean that an individual board member supports the majority’s opinion or the outcome on an issue.
